Business register system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The business register system is a database system with information about companies in Germany , which is used for statistics .

The system contains data on all companies and branches with employees subject to social insurance or sales tax , with the exception of agriculture and forestry, fishing, fish farming and public administration.

The original company register system 95 (URS 95) is still in use. It is a decentralized system that is distributed among the statistical offices of the federal and state governments. At the end of each calendar year, the state offices send a copy of their data to the federal office, which they merge. Statistical evaluations of this data will only be carried out and published two years later. The first publication took place in July 2004.

The new business register system (URS-Neu) is being developed as the central successor system .

In the list of all the statistics of the Federal and State EVAS the identification of statistics, which go back to the business register system begins with the string 521st

The legal basis of the business register system is the Statistics Register Act of June 16, 1998. It refers to the regulation of the Council of the European Economic Community of July 22, 1993 on the coordination of the establishment of business registers for statistical purposes.
