The general manager of the Lower Saxony employers' associations has been Volker Müller since 2000.

function

The association represents the positions of the Lower Saxony companies towards parliament and government. As social partners , in addition to the trade unions, they are in contact with many other groups and institutions relevant to social and economic policy.

As the umbrella organization of the Lower Saxony economy, the UVN support its member associations in all association-political issues. They ensure a continuous exchange of experience and information with the member associations and bundle their opinions or economic policy assessments. The positions thus obtained at the state level are brought into the discussion process at federal and EU level within the bodies of the Federal Association of German Employers' Associations and the Federal Association of German Industry . For these two organizations as well as for the Central Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry, the employers' associations take on the function of the Lower Saxony state representative.
