Tsushima Sub-Prefecture

Tsushima ( Japanese 対 馬 支 庁 , Tsushima-shichō ) was a sub- prefecture of Nagasaki Prefecture . It corresponds to the province of Tsushima , which was dissolved in 1871 .

Nagasaki Sub-Prefecture is responsible for the administration of Tsushima Island . The island lies between Kyūshū and the Korean Peninsula . In 2004 the sub-prefecture was replaced by the Tsushima regional office ( 対 馬 地方 局 , Tsushima chihō kyoku ).

The only municipality in the sub-prefecture is the city of Tsushima , which was formed on March 1, 2004 from the following counties and municipalities:
