The Urado Bridge ( Japanese 浦 戸 大橋 ) is a road bridge in Kōchi on the Japanese island of Shikoku . It crosses the Kagami River, which has expanded to Urado Bay, at a narrow point just before it flows into the Pacific Ocean and connects the districts of Tanezaki and Urado .
The bridge has two lanes and two very narrow walkways, which are secured with high wire fences along the entire length. It is 604.2 m long and 34.6 m above the flood line so as not to obstruct shipping. It has five openings with pillar spacing of 55.6 + 130 + 230 + 130 + 55.6 m. A 303 m long ramp bridge that runs in an S-curve connects to it in the north.
The superstructure of the bridge is made of a haunched prestressed - hollow box , the construction height of 12.5 m on the large pillars decreasing to 3.5 m at the lateral pillars, and finally 2.4 m on the southern abutment respectively at the northern ramp bridge.
