Kōchi ( Japanese 高 知 市 , -shi ) is a city , port and administrative seat of the prefecture of Kōchi on Shikoku , an island of Japan . Kōchi is located at the mouth of the Kagami River to the Pacific Ocean on Urado Bay, a partial bay of Tosa Bay .
Attractions
The Chikurin-ji ( 竹林寺 ) temple is part of the cityscape . The Sekkei-ji is the 33 temples on the Shikoku Pilgrimage .
Kōchi is a former castle town . In contrast to many other castles in Japan, Kōchi Castle is not a replica of the post-war period, but has been preserved in its original form.
