Susaki ( Japanese 須 崎 市 -shi ) is a city in Kōchi prefecture in Japan .

geography

Susaki is located southwest of Kōchi on the Tosa Bay of the Pacific Ocean . Susaki has a Riyal coast , the western section of which is Susaki Bay and to the east the Uranouchi Bay.

history

Susaki was founded on October 1, 1954 from the city of Susaki-shi and the villages of Onogo-mura, Uranouchi-mura, Aso-mura and Kamibun-mura.

economy

The main industry is deep-sea fishing and fish farming for Japanese seriola , (Seriola quinqueradiata) and sea ​​bream (Brama japonica). In agriculture, the greenhouses for Japanese ginger , cucumber, green pepper, small sweet pepper and flowers are of particular importance.
