Urban Art Forms Festival

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Urban Art Forms Festival (short: UAF ) was an annual Austrian music festival that was held from 2004 to 2015.

Overview

The UAF was founded and organized by Christian Lakatos. Until 2010 it took place on the festival site in Wiesen (Burgenland) , in 2011 on the Arena Nova area in Wiener Neustadt and in the following years three times in the Schwarzl leisure center at Schwarzlsee in Unterpremstätten near Graz . In 2015 the festival returns to Wiesen. The UAF 2016 was canceled, there was no UAF in 2017 either. The related NU FORMS Festival was held from June 29th to July 1st, 2017 in Vienna Wiesen.

In addition to performances by bands and DJs in the field of electronic music , a focus was placed on video art , which means that the UAF has long been considered “Europe's leading audiovisual electronic dance music festival”. In recent years, around 30 national and international visualists (VJs) and artist collectives have shaped the festival.
