Urs Frey (documentary filmmaker, 1954)
Urs Frey (* 1954 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss documentary filmmaker .
He worked as a journalist for Swiss radio and television . He then ran a film production company as a commercial filmmaker, which he sold in 2011. Since then he has only produced documentaries and feature films as a co-founder of the Contrast Film company, which specializes in cinema and television films . Urs Frey also writes scripts. The film Der Kreis enjoyed international success - for this it received the Swiss Film Award in 2014 in the Best Screenplay category .
