Ursula Kaltenstein

Ursula Kaltenstein (born January 16, 1927 in Bremerhaven ; † 2005 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1967 to 1987 she was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

After graduating from high school in Bremerhaven in 1947, Kaltenstein attended the University of Education in Bremen from 1947 to 1949 . She then joined the Bremerhaven school service. After finishing her professional career in 1965, she dedicated herself to her family as a housewife.

Kaltenstein had been a member of the SPD in Bremerhaven since 1963 and was active in the state women's committee of the SPD Bremen .

From 1967 to 1987 she was a member of the Bremen citizenship for 20 years and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship.

She was active in the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO).

In 2008 the Ursula Kaltenstein Academy for Health and Care in Bremerhaven, Surfeldstrasse 29, named after her, was founded by the Arbeiterwohlfahrt.
