Ursula Desiré Rucker (* in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is a musician and songwriter from Philadelphia ( USA ).

Even as a child, she recorded her daily observations in words. After graduating from Temple University with a degree in journalism , she appeared in public for the first time in 1994 and read her poems in a bar. She quickly earned a reputation as an unusual lyricist and published a musical collaboration with King Britt under the title Supernatural . The production became a club hit and quickly made Rucker's name known in the (especially electronic) music scene. Collaborations with artists such as Josh Wink , 4hero and The Roots followed .

Since 2001 she has been under contract with Studio K7 (Berlin) and has released three albums and three singles on this label . In 2008 she worked on the album Sensin O by the Turkish rap musician Ayben and released the song Will we ever learn with her . For her album Ruckus Soundsysdom , which was released in late 2008 , she switched to the Five Six Media label operated by King Britt .
