Ursula Weisser-Roelle (born March 14, 1952 in Wolfenbüttel ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). From 2008 to 2013 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After graduating from school, Ursula Weisser-Roelle had been with Siemens in Braunschweig since 1969 . Since 1997 she has been the works council and from 2001 chairwoman of the works council. From 1996 to 2001 she completed a degree in personnel development in the company while working. She had been a member of IG Metall since 1972 . In 2003 she left the SPD after more than 25 years of membership and in 2007 joined the party Die Linke. Ursula Weisser-Roelle is also a member of the federal committee of the Die Linke party. In the state elections in 2008, she entered the Lower Saxony state parliament via her party's state list. Since February 2008 she has also been the secretary of the Lower Saxony state parliament.

In the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2013 , the left was unable to overcome the five percent hurdle and left the state parliament.
