Urungwe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Urungwe is a district with the city of Karoi as its center in the province of Mashonaland West in Zimbabwe .

Urungwe, although semi-arid, is considered fertile and needs watering. Wheat, corn, tobacco and soy are grown. The ownership structure and the problems are just as serious as in Gokwe , since the land of the expropriated property of large white farmers has mostly been transferred to higher government officials.

Semi-precious stones are mined in ten mines in five locations in the Karoi district: alluaudite , arrojadite , beryl ( aquamarine , emerald , goshenite , heliodor ), cassiterite , elbaite , euclase , kaolinite , kyanite , ' mica group', topaz , uvite , werdingite , Zimbabwe .
