Ute Baum (singer)

Ute Baum (* 1970 in Kitzingen ) is a German opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Ute Baum graduated from the Armin-Knab-Gymnasium in Kitzingen and attended the Herrmann-Zilcher Conservatory in Würzburg while she was still at school . She studied with Nikolaus Hillebrand at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich . She then perfected herself with Luisa Bosabalian (Stuttgart) in coloratura and with Eberhard Storz (Munich) in musicals. She completed various master classes with Edith Mathis , Walter Berry and Denis O'Neill , among others .

Her greatest successes include the female lead as the first cast in the Phantom of the Opera at the musical theater in Basel. In addition, during her vocal training she was a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association in Munich and a prize winner of the VDMK state competitions.

Engagements also took her to the Alte Schauspielhaus Stuttgart, the Staatstheater Kassel, the Städtische Bühnen Bielefeld and the Mittelächsisches Theater Freiberg and the Chemnitz Opera House.
