Eberhard Storz

Eberhard Storz (born June 3, 1941 in Ulm ) is a German actor, singer and university professor.

Life

Eberhard Storz completed his training as an actor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart and as a singer at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles with a Belgian state scholarship.

After stints in Passau and Ulm, from 1972 he developed a repertoire at the Salzburg State Theater that earned him the reputation of a specialist in versatility at the Bavarian State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich from 1980 . His roles included "Rabbi Löw" in the world premiere of Cesar Bresgen's opera , "The Angel of Prague", "Don Luis" in Wimberger's " Lady Kobold ", the title character in "Periander", a work commissioned by the Bavarian Ministry of Culture Greek composer Theodore Antoniou , also the first German-language “Fagin” in the musical “Oliver”, the first “Starbuck” in German in the musical “Der Regenmacher” and the first “Sir Danvers Carew” in the German-language Bremen premiere of the musical “Jekyll & Hyde ".

In addition to his stage work, Eberhard Storz developed alternative concepts for training and practicing the music theater acting profession, the “ integral performing ”, in a series of workshops held at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz with the title “singing actor - acting singer” . From 1989 Storz taught at the music academies in Munich , Würzburg , the Mozarteum Salzburg and in 1994 as a deputy professor for Prof. Luisa Bosabalian at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart.
