Ute Dreckmann (born June 12, 1950 in Bochum ) is a German politician of the FDP .

Ute Dreckmann graduated from high school in 1968. Then she took a degree in law, art history, archeology and philosophy at the Ruhr University in Bochum . In 1977 she received her doctorate as Dr. phil. For 1977/78 she received a research grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia at the Central Institute for Art History in Munich. From 1979 to 1986 she was a research assistant at the Museum Bochum; here for exhibitions, events and public relations. From 1983 she was a lecturer in art history at the University of Wuppertal . From 1987 to 1989 she was a research assistant at the Westphalian Industrial Museum in Dortmund. Her area of ​​responsibility was researching the architecture of the Zollern II / IV colliery in Dortmund-Bövinghausen. From 1989 to 1993 she worked as a freelance art consultant, since then she has been co-owner of a consultancy for systems technology.

Ute Dreckmann has been a member of the FDP since 1993. She has been the district chair of the FDP Bochum since November 1994 and since March 1998 the state chair of the Liberal Women of North Rhine-Westphalia. Since March 1994 she has been a member of the Ruhr district committee of the FDP and since April 1998 of the FDP state committee of North Rhine-Westphalia. Dreckmann was a member of the Bochum City Council from 1999 to 2000.

Ute Dreckmann was a member of the 13th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2000 to 2005, which she entered via the state list. She was the spokesperson for labor, social affairs and migration policy for the FDP parliamentary group and a member of the board of trustees of the foundation welfare of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. She moved to the 14th state parliament on November 19, 2009. She no longer belongs to the 15th state parliament.
