The Karrat-Fjord ( Danish Karrats Fjord), also Uummannaq-Fjord , is a fjord in western Greenland in the Avannaata Kommunia .
geography
The Karrat Fjord, which is named after the island Karrat in it, has its mouth in the Nordøstbugten of Baffin Bay . The beginning of the fjord is shaped by fjords flowing in, such as the Ukkusissat Sulluat fjord . There are also some glaciers such as the Kangilliup Sermia ( Rink Isbræ , Rink Glacier) or the Umiammakku Sermiat .
The islands of Qeqertarsuaq , Illorsuit and Upernivik are found near the estuary .
