Uwe Böschemeyer

Uwe Böschemeyer (* 1939 in Oranienburg ) is a psychotherapist from Viktor Frankl's school and the developer of “value imagination” and “value-oriented personality development”.

Live and act

Böschemeyer studied Protestant theology , psychology and philosophy . He initially worked as a parish pastor, university pastor in Hamburg and as a research assistant to Helmut Thielicke . In 1974 he received his doctorate in Hamburg with a dissertation on the question of meaning in Viktor E. Frankl's existential analysis and logotherapy from a theological point of view. After being authorized to practice logotherapy and teaching by Viktor E. Frankl, Böschemeyer founded the “Hamburg Institute for Existential Analysis and Logotherapy” in Hamburg in 1982 (since 2005 “Academy for Value-Oriented Personality Development” in Hamburg and Lüneburg), which he headed until 2012. In 2006 Böschemeyer founded the “European Academy for Value-Oriented Personality Development” in Salzburg. Since 1975 Böschemeyer has also worked as a freelancer for the Hamburger Abendblatt and since 2013 as a columnist for the Salzburger Nachrichten.
