Uwe Bork

Uwe Bork (born July 14, 1951 in Verden (Aller) ) is a German journalist and non-fiction author .

Bork studied social sciences at the University of Göttingen . After graduating, he worked as a freelance journalist for various newspapers, magazines and ARD stations . Since 1998 he has been the head of the television editorial team "Religion, Church and Society" at Südwestrundfunk in Stuttgart . For his work he was awarded the Caritas Journalist Prize Baden-Württemberg in 1992 and the German Journalist Prize for Development Policy in 1996 and 1997. Bork has also published several books. He is Roman Catholic , married and has two children.
