Uwe Doering

Uwe Doering (born October 1, 1953 in Berlin-Wedding ) is a German politician ( SEW / Die Linke ).

Life

After completing the 10th grade Uwe Doering made 1970-1973 a vocational training for electrical mechanic at the AEG . He then continued to work at the company and was a member of the works council from 1975 . From 1980 he was released from work as part of his works council. From 1984 to 1996 he took over the position of chairman of the works council and from 1995/96 chair of the general works council of CEGELEC AEG AAS GmbH .

Uwe Doering was a member of the Socialist Unity Party of West Berlin (SEW) from 1972 to 1990 . At SEW, he was also a member of the party executive. After German reunification , he was spokesman for the Association of People Persecuted by the Nazi Regime (VVN) from 1990 to 2000 and co-chair of the Association of Antifascists in Berlin from 1994 to 2000 . V .

In March 1999 he became a member of the PDS . There he was a member of the district board from autumn 2000 to May 2006 and from February 2002 to May 2006 chairman of the PDS in the Treptow-Köpenick district .

From 1995 to 2016 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives and from June 1996 Parliamentary Managing Director of the PDS parliamentary group. He was a member of the Committee on Building and Housing and the Committee on Economy, Technology and Women. He had a seat on the Council of Elders in the Berlin Parliament and was also the economic policy spokesman for his group.
