Uwe Harnos

Uwe Harnos (born November 2, 1960 in Munich ) is a German lawyer and sports official .

Harmos studied law at the University of Munich and works as a lawyer in Kaufbeuren . He is married and has three children.

Sports official

Harnos has been a member of the DEB Presidium since 2002. First as Vice-President and then from 2008 as President of the German Ice Hockey Federation as successor to Hans-Ulrich Esken . In the same year he became a member of the Legal Committee of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). In 2006 he was also elected a member of the five-person speaker group in the German Olympic Sports Confederation . At the 2010 Ice Hockey World Championship in Germany, Harnos was President of the Organizing Committee. He is also Vice President of the German Ice Skating Union . After harsh criticism of his administration, Harnos withdrew his renewed candidacy for the presidium election of the German Ice Hockey Federation in 2014.
