The German Ice Skating Union e. V. (DEU) is the sports association for figure skating , ice dancing and synchronized figure skating in Germany.

The association was founded in Hamburg in 1964 and initially represented figure skating in the Federal Republic of Germany . Today the DEU is based in Munich . In 1990 the DEU merged with the German Ice Skating Association (DELV) of the GDR . The DEU was initially led by chairmen, and since 1998 by presidents.

There are 14 regional associations. There are currently no state associations for figure skating in the federal states of Brandenburg and Schleswig-Holstein .

The association is a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the International Skating Union .

The DEU organizes the following competitions at national level:

  • German championships in figure skating
  • German youth championships in figure skating
  • German youth championships in figure skating
  • Germany Cup
  • German Championships and German Cup in synchronized figure skating
