Reinhard Mirmseker

Reinhard Mirmseker (born July 1, 1950 in Berlin ) is a former German figure skater , international figure skating judge, former president of the German Ice Skating Union (DEU) and radio and television presenter.

As a figure skater, he started both as an individual runner in the men and in pair skating. He trained at TSC Berlin . As a single runner he was defeated by Günter Zöller at the GDR championships in 1967 . Mirmseker qualified as runner-up for the European Figure Skating Championships in 1967 in Ljubljana . The couple Beatrice (Trixi) from Brück / Reinhard Mirmseker were trained by Margit Senf and took third place at the national championships in 1969.

Reinhard Mirmseker became an international judge after his time as an active figure skater and has been used at European and World Championships and also at the Olympic Games since the 1980s.

Reinhard Mirmseker was president of the German Ice Skating Association of the GDR (DELV) until 1990 . After German reunification , he was initially a co-opted member of the DEU Presidium. The President of the DEU at the time was Dr. Wolf Dieter Monday . In 2002 he succeeded Angela Siedenberg as President of the German Ice Skating Union eV (DEU). On July 22, 2006, he resigned from this office. His successor is Dieter Hillebrand .

In addition to his activity in figure skating, Reinhard Mirmseker became known to a wide audience in the GDR as a presenter of mainly folk music programs on Radio GDR . Until May 22, 2012 he was head of entertainment at MDR 1 Radio Sachsen-Anhalt . In addition, Mirmseker moderated at MDR u. a. the programs " Wernesgrüner Musikantenschenke " and the "Volkstümliche Hitparade" . Mirmseker was released from his duties at the MDR due to allegedly undeclared sideline jobs and company investments.
