The German Sports Acrobatics Association (DSAB) , based in Schwalbach, is the German umbrella organization for sports acrobatics . He is a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), and there also in the interest group of non-Olympic associations (IG NOV).

history

Until the weightlifting and wrestling sports became independent at the beginning of the 1970s, artistic strength sports (today: acrobatics) belonged to the German Athletes' Association (DAB) and its predecessor associations, alongside lawn power sports and tug of war . In 1972 the association became independent as the German Artistic Sports Association . In 1975 the name was changed to Deutscher Sportakrobatik Bund eV - DSAB .
