The German Squash Association e. V. ( DSQV ) is the association responsible for squash in the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

history

The association was founded in 1973 in Hamburg . The association's headquarters and office are in Bocholt . The DSQV is the umbrella organization of 12 regional associations. The current president is Steve Mann. At the general assembly in 2006 the original name, Deutscher Squash und Rackets Verband (DSRV) , was changed to the current name.

Federal cadre

The German squash national team for men, women and youth are currently being looked after and trained by the former world ranking player Oliver Pettke .

International competitions

The German Squash Association has hosted international competitions such as European and World Championships several times . The DSQV was the organizer of the European team championships in 1983 in Munich , 1993 in Gelsenkirchen , 2002 in Böblingen and 2012 in Nuremberg , as well as the 2010 European singles championships in Saarbrücken . Team World Championships have so far taken place in 1998 in Stuttgart for women and in 2011 in Paderborn for men. The men's singles world championships in 1983 and women in 1998 were also held in Germany; the women played in Stuttgart.
