Uwe Koßel (born December 12, 1950 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From September 2012 to 2015 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

After an apprenticeship as an electrical machine builder, Koßel worked as a police officer until December 2010. He is a member of the police union and was also its chairman at the state level from 2009 to 2012. He resigned from this office after he succeeded Erck Rickmers in the citizenry. There he was a member of the Committee on Justice, Data Protection and Equal Opportunities, the Submissions Committee and the Interior Committee as well as the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee “Yagmur” and the special committee on the death of the girl Chantal . In the 2015 general election , Koßel ran for 38th place on the SPD state list, but did not win a mandate. He is on the Advisory Board of Sparda-Bank Hamburg .

Koßel is married and has one daughter. He lives in Hamburg-Eidelstedt .
