Uwe Scheidemann

Uwe Scheidemann (born January 6, 1965 ) is a German basketball coach .

Life

Scheidemann led VfL 1860 Marburg in 1992 as a coach for promotion to the 1st women's basketball league . In 1993 Marburg reached the final in the German cup competition under his leadership, but lost there. In March 1997, the basketball department split off from the main club and founded BC Marburg . In 1998, 1999 and 2001 Scheidemann was third in the championship with his women. In the 2002/03 season he won the German championship and the cup with Marburg and was named the 2003 Women's Bundesliga Coach of the Year. Due to differing views on financial matters between the club and Scheidemann, who acts as both coach and manager, the split came in 2004.

For the 2014/15 season he returned to a coaching position after a ten-year break and took over the post of head coach for the regional league women of TSV Krofdorf-Gleiberg. In the 2015/16 season, Krofdorf-Gleiberg won the championship title in the Regionalliga Südwest-Nord under Scheidemann's leadership and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga.
