Uwe Schmidt (politician, 1945)

Uwe Schmidt (born June 1, 1945 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1991 to 2006 .

After attending school in 1969, Uwe Schmidt obtained a technical college degree as a mechanical engineer. This was followed by training as a motor vehicle expert. He then worked in this area for various insurance companies. Schmidt joined the CDU in 1967. From 1981 to 1990 he was a member of the Tempelhof District Assembly . In 1995 he received a direct mandate in the House of Representatives in the constituency of Tempelhof 2 .
