Uwe Stäglin

Uwe Stäglin (born November 8, 1970 in Berlin ) is a German local politician in Halle an der Saale ( SPD ).

Life

In 1987 Stäglin joined the SPD. After graduating from high school in 1990, he began studying urban and regional planning, which he completed in 1996 with a diploma.

In 1992 he was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) of the Steglitz district (re-election in 1995, 1999, 2001, from 1999 for the BVV of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf merged district).

In 2001 he was made a candidate of the SPD for the office of district mayor.

Since then, Uwe Stäglin has been District Councilor for Construction and Housing and Deputy District Mayor of Berlin-Steglitz-Zehlendorf.

On May 25, 2011, Uwe Stäglin was elected as the deputy for building and planning in Halle (Saale) in the second ballot. As such, he heads the Urban Development and Environment division.
