Václav Fischer
Václav Fischer (born June 22, 1954 in Prague ) is a German entrepreneur of Czech origin, founder of Fischer Reisen and a former Czech politician .
Life
Václav Fischer emigrated to Germany in 1978 and lived in Hamburg , Berlin and Switzerland. In 1984 he received German citizenship.
He founded Fischer Reisen in 1980, sold the travel company to Condor Flugdienst in 1995 and returned to the Czech Republic, where he again built up travel companies that became market leaders in the Czech Republic.
After the death of Senator Václav Benda in 1999, he was elected as his successor in the Prague 1 district. He served in the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic from August 28, 1999 to November 23, 2002. In 2007 he gave up his Czech citizenship and kept his German citizenship.
In 1997 he founded AMF Aircraftleasing Meier & Fischer GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg, which acquired two Boeing 737 300 aircraft and leased them to the Czech airline Fischer Air. Václav Fischer was also the sole shareholder of Fischer Air GmbH.
