Vågøy ( Norwegian for bay island ) is an island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is located in the south-eastern part of Prydz Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them descriptively, mapped them in detail using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
