The Vélodrome Amédée Détraux is a cycling track in Baie-Mahault in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe .
The cycling track is 333.33 meters long, the surface is made of concrete. This makes it the largest cycling track in the Antilles and, with a capacity of 9,000 spectators, the largest stadium in Guadeloupe.
The railway was built in 1991 and was initially called Vélodrome de Gourde-Liane , after the district where it is located. After a renovation before the French championship in track cycling , it was reopened in 2009 and renamed Vélodrome Amédée Détraux after a local cycling star . Détraux (1949–2009) was involved in building the track and cycling in Guadeloupe and founded the Association pour la promotion du cyclisme Antillais (APROCA).
