Víctor González (director)

Víctor "Kino" González (* 1959 in San Salvador de Jujuy ) is an Argentine director and cameraman .

González studied engineering at the University of La Plata from 1976 to 1979 . In 1980 he began studying at the Centro Experimental y de Realisación Cinematográfica . There he began to make the short film Guachoabel , which led to his de- registration from the institute determined by the military government. He completed the film in 1987, which was shown at festivals in Berlin (1988), Montreal (1988) and Clermont-Ferrand (1990).

From 1993 to 1996 González made his first feature film Ciudad de Dios . With a grant from the Hubert Bals Fund , González began work with Huili Raffo on the script for the film Los Buenos Sentimentos , which won first prize in the 1998 La Nación magazine script competition (under the title El Cielo Elegido ) . In addition, González worked on a dozen films as a cameraman.
