Vēja māte
Vēja māte ( Lat . "Windmother") is the personification of the wind in Latvian mythology . She belongs to the large group of motherly forces of nature . As the ruler of wind and weather, she is said to have enormous powers, and in a storm she is asked to go to sleep. Sometimes she is also seen as the protector of birds and the forest, and in this capacity she approaches the Meža māte "forest mother".
In addition to Vēja māte, her husband Vējs and her son Vēja dēls are also named, but they have no function.
Vėjopatis
The Lithuanian mythology knows only the wind god Vėjopatis "Wind Lord."
