Meža māte
Meža māte ( Lat .; Eng. » Forest mother«) is the personified mother of the forest in Latvian mythology , who is often mentioned in the Dainas . She is a kind goddess who protects hunters, forest workers and shepherds. Her side is the Mežatēvs "Forest Father".
Medeinė
In the Lithuanian mythology , the forest goddess medeina (to bed . Medis "tree") announced that for the first time in the Volhynian Chronicle (13th century) is mentioned as rabbits goddess Měiděin (Мѣидѣин). It reports that as soon as the Lithuanian prince Mindaugas saw a hare, he no longer dared to enter the forest.
