from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Galician- Volhyn Chronicle (Ukrainian Га́лицько-Воли́нський літо́пис ) is an Old Russian chronicle from the late 13th century.

The chronicle depicts the history of Halych-Volhynia from 1201 to 1291. For 1201 to 1261 events from Galicia are reproduced, including events under Prince Daniel Romanovich of Galicia and from 1262 to 1291 events in Volhynia under Vasilko and his son Vladimir.

The Galician-Volhyn Chronicle is preserved in the text of the Hypatius Chronicle from the 15th century.

It is probably an important model for the Bychowiec Chronicle .
