Vũ Giáng Hương
Vũ Giáng Hương ( January 23, 1930 in Hanoi - August 20, 2011 ) was a Vietnamese silk painter.
life and work
Vũ Giáng Hương was born in 1930 as the daughter of the writer Vũ Ngọc Phan and the poet Hằng Phương. She studied silk painting at Hanoi University , later taught there and became deputy director.
Vũ Giáng Hương was General Secretary of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and Chair of the National Committee for the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations . She received the State Award for Literature and Arts for her services to the visual arts.
