VB-Jolle is the name of a popular dinghy type , which is several thousand times was built mainly in the 1970s and 80s. She is a boat designed in the Netherlands . The abbreviation VB stands for "Volksboot". The VB dinghy is a knickspant hull with a relatively large cockpit. Front and aft are compartments which - depending on the model - are provided with a flap and offer a lot of storage space for a dinghy. This fact, as well as the sailing properties of the boat are a good prerequisite for use as a traveling dinghy. The VB dinghy is usually slup rigged. VB dinghies are made of GRP and have a double bottom that acts as a float. A characteristic of the VB dinghy is that you can find it in many different hull colors.

The VB dinghy is available in two versions, the VB480 with a length of 4.80 m and the VB600 with a length of 6.00 m.

Both boats are good-natured dinghies that are also often used as training boats. The larger variant is comparable to the sword migrating bird . VB dinghies are quite stable in the water and are comparatively slow boats.
