Content

The guidelines deal with the general requirements such as hygiene (taking into account the statutory provisions and the VDI / DVGW 6023 guideline ), accessibility in addition to DIN 18025 , materials, connection, fastening and, if necessary, handle equipment. Further requirements concern noise and fire protection . In addition to the core issues of sanitary technology , the VDI 6000 series of guidelines also contains statements on heating, ventilation, electrical and lighting technology for sanitary rooms. Important for the planning of the sanitary room, but also for the later unrestricted usability, is in particular the consideration of the movement areas and distances as well as the mounting heights, if necessary. In the case of sanitary rooms for groups of users, the number of existing sanitary objects is of great importance. In the case of sanitary rooms that are to be used by several people at the same time, attention must also be paid to the floor plan.
