VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown (until 1999: VH1 Top 10 Video Countdown ) was a weekly chart show for music videos on the American music broadcaster VH1 . Until 2006, the countdown was compiled from record sales, radio airplays, etc.; since 2006 it has been possible to vote on the Internet .

The broadcast location changed frequently; one time it was broadcast from Times Square in New York City , another time, for example, from the Virgin Records store in Union Square. The moderation also changed; one of the moderators was Jim Shearer. The show was around 120 minutes long.

There was also a top 20 video countdown in Denmark. Here the show was hosted by radio host Dan Rachlin.

The program was discontinued with the issue of November 28, 2015 without much notice, as VH1 completely removed the music videos from its program as part of a realignment.
