The Hadahur Music School is East Timor's first music school. It is located in the Suco Becora of the state capital Dili . "Hadahur" roughly means "gathering for song and dance".

The school was opened on July 18, 2009 in the presence of the two Nobel Peace Prize winners, President José Ramos-Horta and Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo . It goes back to an initiative of Dilis Bishop Alberto Ricardo da Silva and was founded by the Joseph Sisters of the Mary MacKillop East Timor Mission . In addition to the musical education, the school should contribute to national self-discovery by helping to preserve the rich treasure of traditional music and instruments. Teachers are also taught how to use musical instruments for school lessons.

It offers early childhood music education, lessons in traditional music and instruments, Western classical music in collaboration with music schools in Australia, and studies and performances of popular music. Guitar makers from Australia, for example, are also invited to teach Timorese in their craft.
