Viamont
The Viamont as a railway company and a track construction company in the Czech Republic . The registered office of the company is Ústí nad Labem . In July 2012, Viamont filed for bankruptcy.
history
Viamont was founded in August 1992 as a track construction company . In 1996 the company was converted into a stock corporation.
Viamont Cargo
After Viamont as was founded , the company expanded its range to include transport services, primarily full and construction train traffic. Therefore, on 22 August 2007, the VIAMONT Cargo as was a 100% subsidiary spun off . In 2008 this division was sold to OKD Doprava . Viamont justified this step by concentrating on its core business , the implementation of track construction activities.
Viamont Regio
From 1997 Viamont was also active in passenger transport. On June 19, 2008, this division was outsourced as a 100% subsidiary under the name Viamont Regio as. Today, after several changes of ownership, it operates as GW Train Regio .
Before the subsidiary was sold, Viamont had taken over the following routes for passenger transport:
- Trutnov hl .n. – Svoboda nad Úpou (since December 12, 1997)
- Sokolov – Kraslice – Zwotental (since May 14, 1998 Sokolov – Kraslice, since May 28, 2000 Kraslice – Klingenthal (state border); in cooperation with Vogtlandbahn )
- Karlovy Vary dolní nádraží – Mariánské Lázně (since January 1, 2006)
- Szklarska Poręba Górna – Harrachov – Kořenov (since August 28, 2010 to December 12, 2015; in cooperation with Przewozy Regionalne )
- Trutnov – Královec – Lubawka (since December 14, 2008)
- Milotice nad Opavou – Vrbno pod Pradědem (since December 12, 2010)
