The VR-Bank Trade and Commercial Bank eG is a German cooperative bank based in Gersthofen near Augsburg. It was created in 2009 through several mergers in and around Augsburg and is one of the large cooperative banks in Bavaria.

history
Today's VR-Bank Handels- und Gewerbebank eG has a tradition of over 125 years. As a result of several bank mergers in recent years, today's VR-Bank Handels- und Gewerbebank eG emerged from the last merger between VR-Bank Lech-Zusam eG and Handels- und Gewerbebank Augsburg eG (2009).
