The history of VR Bank Tübingen eG goes back to the year 1883. On September 14, 1883, open-minded citizens founded a loan association, the predecessor of today's cooperative. The foundation stone for today's bank was laid in the 19th century. In 2017 the members of Volksbank Tübingen eG and VR Bank eG Steinlach-Wiesaz-Hänen decided to merge. This resulted in today's VR Bank Tübingen eG.
