Educational work, equipment and offers
Many children from different nations are educated in the school. In order to optimally promote and challenge all multilingual students, an accompanying teacher is available to each teacher to supervise especially those with a non-German mother tongue in an integrative manner in a team with mother-tongue teachers (Turkish, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian). All pupils with a non-German mother tongue are offered intensive support from a language support teacher. The school also has special needs teachers who take care of children with special learning problems, as well as a language therapy teacher. Particularly gifted students are looked after by a specially trained teacher in gifted education courses.
The elementary school Greiseneckergasse - Butterfly School has three classes of the pre-school level with 48 students and 15 classes of the 1st to 4th grade with 332 students (as of 2014/15). In the building there is a new middle school with a foreign language focus, as well as a public after-school care center and a kindergarten.
In 2013 the school was awarded the recognition prize for the Austrian School Prize.
