from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Voetbal Vereniging Glanerbrug was a Dutch amateur - football club from Glanerbrug , a district of the municipality of Enschede on the border with Germany Gronau . The club was founded in 1922 as SAC (Sportclub Arminia Combinatie) when the sports club and Arminia merged, but soon renamed itself to VV Glanerbrug .

From 2008 to 2011, the first team rose four times in a row as champions - up to the Eerste Klasse , which was the third highest amateur league at the time and thus the fifth highest division in Dutch football. In the 2007/08 season Glanerbrug also reached the final of the District Cup East, in which the Achilles '29 team from Groesbeek was defeated. Nevertheless, Glanerbrug was qualified for the KNVB Cup , as the first fifth division in the history of the competition. However, the team was defeated in the first main round of the VV IJsselmeervogels .

In March 2014, VV Glanerbrug was declared bankrupt and then dissolved.
