The VZ Group is a Swiss financial services provider based in Zurich . Since March 2007, which is VZ Holding on the SIX Swiss Exchange listed . The group of companies employs around 1,100 people and, on June 30, 2019, managed customer funds amounting to 25.6 billion Swiss francs.

history

The company was founded in 1993 by Matthias Reinhart and Max Bolanz as VZ VersicherungsZentrum AG . Their aim was to bring transparency to the Swiss insurance and banking business by comparing prices and services. The company's purpose initially included the brokering of insurance contracts.

As a result, the range of services expanded continuously. In 1997, together with the change of name to VZ VermögensZentrum AG, there was also a change in the statutes, whereby the focus was no longer on mediation, but on advice on all financial issues and asset management.

In 2000 the group of companies gave itself a holding structure. In March 2007, the subsidiary VZ Depotbank AG received a license from the Swiss Federal Banking Commission as a bank and securities dealer. In the same month, VZ Holding AG went public .

VZ Vorsorge AG was founded in mid-2013 as a 100 percent subsidiary of VZ Holding. The unit provides services such as advice, administration and management of investment foundations, pension institutions and occupational pension schemes.
