Vaclovas Volkovas

Vaclovas Volkovas (born January 3, 1947 ) is a Lithuanian politician, mayor of the municipality of Šiauliai .

Life

From 1989 to 1990 he was the first secretary of the Lietuvos komunistų partija in Šiauliai . From 1995 to 1997 and from 2003, representative of the Lithuanian government in the Šiauliai district , Volkovas headed an individual company from 1997 to 2002. From 1997 to 2007 he was a member of the Šiauliai City Council and was Mayor of Šiauliai from 2002 to 2003.

From 1990 he was a member of Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija (LDDP), from 2001 of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija (LSDP).

Volkovas is married. He and Ms. Onutė Miliutė have the children Ramūnas and Darius.
