Valérie Schüller (* 1974 ) is a German lawyer and science manager. She has been Vice President of the University of Göttingen since April 2019, and from October to November 2019 she headed the university as acting president.

Life

Schüller studied law at the University of Mainz . In 2002 she completed her legal clerkship with the second state examination in law, and at the end of 2003 the advanced training course in media law at the University of Mainz with a Master of Laws (LL.M.). In 2006 she received her doctorate from the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Mainz. From 2005 to 2016, Schüller was managing director of the department, with one interruption in 2011/2012 when she worked on the team for the Excellence Initiative at the University of Mainz. In addition, she was a senator, member of the budget and structure committee and member of the statutes committee of the University of Mainz for several years.

In 2016 she moved to the Technical University of Bingen as Chancellor, and in September 2017 to the University of Mainz as Chancellor .

In April 2019, Valérie Schüller became full-time Vice President for Finance and Human Resources at the University of Göttingen.
