Valdemaras Katkus

Valdemaras Katkus (born February 17, 1958 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian social democratic politician and diplomat .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Kaunas in 1976, he graduated from Kauno politechnikos institutas in 1981 and became an engineer . From 1989 he was Sąjūdis -Seimas member and editor of the newspaper "Bendrija". From 1990 to 1992 he was a member of the Seimas . From 1990 to 1993 he was first deputy foreign minister, from 1992 special envoy . From 1993 he worked in the bank. From 2002 he worked at ELTA as editor-in-chief of the business news department.

From 1989 he was a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
