Valentin Lüthi (born July 7, 1993 in Oppligen ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss Swiss League since 2018 .

Career

Lüthi comes from the junior division of SCL Tigers , where he went through all junior levels together with his twin brother Florian. During the 2011/12 season, Lüthi was also used in the Langnauer Fanion team for the first time and played a total of 6 games in the National League A during that season . In the 2012/13 season Lüthi was still mainly used in the elite A-Juniors of the SCL Tigers, where he played a total of 20 games. In addition, however, he came to 6 inserts in Fanionteam and 4 inserts the EHC Visp in the National League B . At the end of May 2013 it was announced that Lüthi was moving to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for the 2013/14 season , where he had signed a two-year contract. At the end of the 2015/2016 season he received an offer from EHC Biel, which he followed and has been under contract with the Zealanders since May 2016. After a planned move to SC Langenthal failed in summer 2018 due to a failed fitness check, he signed a contract for one season with its league competitor HC La Chaux-de-Fonds .

International

Lüthi has played in all junior teams of the Swiss Ice Hockey Association since the U16 and has so far played a total of 44 games with the various junior teams.
